Description

Tungsten carbide copy milling burs from PFERD are ideal for levelling elevations, such as weld seams. Due to the uncut area, the weld seam can be adjusted to the level of the surrounding surface without this being damaged. Copy milling burrs are often used to repair cutting and punching blades in tool and die-making.

Tungsten carbide copy milling burs with MICRO cut were designed especially for fine stock removal, and produce a high surface quality. Almost all materials up to a hardness of 68 HRC can be machined.

Inverted cone-shaped rotary cutter, tapered towards the shank. Inverted cones WKN are especially well-suited to processing punching tools that are used for processing aluminium.

Advantages
  • Long service life and exceptional surface quality.
  • The uncut area provides optimum contour guidance and protects the workpiece against damage.
  • Reduced machining time.
Recommendations for use
  • For accurate contour guidance, copy milling burs can be used with guide aids.
  • Observe the recommended rotational speed.
  • For the most cost-effective bur use, work with higher rotational/peripheral speeds. For burs with a 1/4" shank diameter, use power tools with a power output from 300 watts.
